Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Global Appraisal LLC ("Global Appraisal," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our real estate appraisal services and our SMS / text-message communications.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information:

Contact information you submit through the consent form on globalappraisal.net (full name, mobile phone number, email address, and optional property address).
Engagement information related to an active appraisal assignment (subject property address, scheduling preferences, points of contact).
SMS interaction data (messages you send to or receive from us, opt-in / opt-out status, timestamps).

2. How We Use Your Information

To schedule, confirm, remind, and coordinate real estate appraisal inspections.
To respond to questions you send us by text, phone, or email.
To maintain records required by USPAP and applicable state appraisal regulations.
To honor opt-out requests and maintain our internal do-not-text list.

3. SMS / Text Message Information — No Third-Party Sharing

            
                No mobile information will be shared with third parties or
                affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All
                categories of information exclude text-messaging originator
                opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared
                with any third parties.
            
        

Mobile phone numbers collected through the SMS consent form on globalappraisal.net are used solely by Global Appraisal LLC for appointment-related communications connected to an active appraisal engagement. We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise disclose mobile numbers, opt-in data, or SMS message content to any third party for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or promotional purposes.

4. How We Obtain Your Mobile Number for SMS

Global Appraisal obtains mobile numbers for SMS purposes only through the consent form you complete yourself on globalappraisal.net. We do not import phone numbers from lenders, appraisal management companies (AMCs), real estate agents, or other third parties for the purpose of sending SMS messages. If a third party provides us a phone number in the ordinary course of an appraisal engagement, we will only contact that number by voice or email unless and until the number's owner submits the consent form on globalappraisal.net.

5. Message Frequency, Rates, and Opt-Out

Message frequency varies; typically 1–5 messages per appraisal engagement.
Message and data rates may apply; check with your wireless carrier.
Reply STOP (also OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE) to any message to be removed from our SMS list.
Reply HELP or INFO for assistance.
Consent to SMS is not a condition of any purchase, service, or appraisal engagement.

6. Limited Sharing for Service Delivery

We share information only as needed to perform the appraisal services you have engaged us for, and only with parties to that specific engagement (for example, the lender or AMC who ordered the appraisal, when scheduling status must be reported). We do not share mobile opt-in data or SMS content with these parties.

7. Data Retention

We retain appraisal records, including communications, for the period required by USPAP and applicable state law (typically five years from the report date, or two years from final judicial proceeding involving the assignment, whichever is longer). Opt-out records are retained indefinitely so that we do not re-contact a number after a STOP request.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not knowingly transmit consent information over unencrypted channels and we limit internal access to those who need it to perform appraisal services.

9. Your Rights

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you by emailing edwin@globalappraisal.net.
You may opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP.
You may request deletion of non-record-retention information at any time.

10. Changes

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new "Effective" date at the top of this page will reflect the change.
