Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the globalappraisal.net website and the SMS / text-message service operated by Global Appraisal LLC ("we," "us"). By submitting the SMS consent form or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Global Appraisal LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company providing real estate appraisal services. Edwin Farr, MAI, MS-RECM, is the principal and a North Carolina Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

2. SMS Service Description

Global Appraisal sends transactional text messages from (984) 360-8050 for the sole purpose of scheduling, confirming, reminding about, and coordinating real estate appraisal inspections.

Messages are limited to appointment scheduling, confirmation, reminders, and coordination connected to an active appraisal engagement.
Message frequency varies; typically 1–5 messages per appraisal engagement.
Message and data rates may apply.
No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this service.

3. Consent

You consent to receive SMS messages from Global Appraisal LLC by completing the consent form on globalappraisal.net. You represent that the mobile number you submit is your own (or that you have authority to consent on behalf of the number's owner) and that you are at least 18 years of age.

            Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase,
            service, or appraisal engagement. You may decline SMS and
            still engage Global Appraisal by phone or email.
        

4. Opt-Out and Help

Reply STOP (also OPTOUT, CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE) to any message to be removed from our SMS list. We will send a single confirmation message and will not text you again from that number.

5. Privacy — No Third-Party Sharing of Mobile Information

            
                No mobile information will be shared with third parties or
                affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All
                categories of information exclude text-messaging originator
                opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared
                with any third parties.

6. How We Source Mobile Numbers for SMS

Global Appraisal obtains mobile numbers for the SMS service only through the consent form completed by the number's owner on globalappraisal.net. We do not import phone numbers from lenders, appraisal management companies (AMCs), real estate agents, or other third parties for the purpose of sending SMS messages.

7. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Available on participating carriers. Carrier rates may apply.

8. Appraisal Services Are Not Provided Through SMS

The SMS service is for appointment coordination only. Appraisal engagement, scope of work, and reporting are governed by the written engagement letter for each assignment and by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the SMS service or website to send unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or fraudulent communications, and not to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and SMS service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Appraisal disclaims all implied warranties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Appraisal LLC and its principal will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the website or SMS service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Alamance County, North Carolina.

13. Changes

If we update these Terms, the new "Effective" date at the top of this page will reflect the change. Continued use of the site or SMS service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
